PRODIGY Tribute with Special Guest HAVOC

Knowledge Beckom presents the Prodigy tribute featuring Cormega and the infamous Havoc of Mobb Deep was held at the Promontory Chicago on Friday February, 21st. Classic Hip Hop lives put on another great monthly show featuring the live band MoFitz Project.

The classic show opened with legendary DJ’s including J Illa and J Grilla with a surprise performance by artist/producer Rashid Hadee on the 1’s and 2’s and Philmore Greene on the mic.

The opening act was the lyrical K’Valentine who blessed with stage with her lyricism and beauty. Brooklyn native Cormega hit the stage next performing some classic hits rocking a Chicago Bulls jogging suit and air Jordans.

Last but not least, Havoc of Mobb Deep hit the stage. Havoc performed numerous Mobb Deep hits including Temperature Rising which sounded exceptional over live instruments The audience chimed in on Prodigy’s verses word for word showing mad love to the infamous emcee. There was a sea of peace signs held up in memory of Prodigy during Havoc’s memorable performance.

Knowledge Beckom presented Cormega and Havoc with paintings after their sets concluded. Havoc was also presented with a Mobb Deep painting that will be given to Prodigy’s family painted by our very own team member Racquel of Roc Customs.
