The “business” Mystikal sought to rectify and get behind him when turning himself in last month isn’t going anywhere. As seen in the footage released below, the rapper born Michael Lawrence Tyler turned himself in on speculation of rape and kidnapping charges stemming from an incident in October 2016 at a Shreveport casino. This morning speculation changed to him officially being indicted on one count of first degree rape and one count of second degree kidnapping.
The artist known for early 2000 hits like “Danger” and “Shake Ya A**” isn’t new to trouble with the law for committing crimes involving sexual misconduct. Back in 2003 Mystikal plead guilty to sexual battery and extortion. He served 6 years in prison, registered as a sex offender in Louisiana and was released in 2010.
The investigation into Mystikal’s involvement began last year but charges were not filed until now; after analysis of DNA recovered from the scene were completed and linked not only Mystikal but his friend Holeman to the sexual assault. A third person, a woman named Tenichia Wafford has also been charged with obstruction of justice for her involvement in the crime. She appeared on TMZ last month and stated that the alleged accuser was lying. “She even told me—and yes, I got it on record—that she said ain’t nobody did nothing to her…She trying to protect her boyfriend because she ditched him all night to be with another nigga,”. Her current bail is speculated between $200,000 – $500,000 with Mystikal and Holeman’s bail set at 2 million a piece.
The saying goes “Where there is Smoke, there is Fire…” During his 2003 trial on charges of sexual assault Mystikal spoke out to affirm his innocence. Can he claim guiltlessness a second time around now on a very similar charge? Or does this new charge solidify him as a sexual deviant? Let us know in the comments below!
