The 2017 Masters is officially underway, but the weather seems to have other plans.

Wednesday (April 5) the Par 3 contest was cut short due to inclimate weather. Patrons entered the grounds early this morning shortly after 8 am ET with high hopes of seeing a great day of golf, but…..soon after were forced to evacuate the premises to seek shelter due to inclimate weather.

Gates re-opened at 12:30 pm as fans made their way to the Par 3 course to catch a little bit of the action.

Former Masters Champion (2013 & 2015) Bubba Watson took part in the Par 3 with his wife and children. The Watson’s made it through a few holes before being called in for more inclimate weather.

Around 1:30 pm ET the weather horn sounded and play was suspended for the remainder of the day.

The official Masters Tournament tee’s off tomorrow 8 am ET with Daniel Summerhays, Russell Henley, and Jhonattan Vegas going in Group 1. Make sure you stay tune to LoudGenius.com for all of your Masters updates
