Qua Majesty, an upcoming artist out of Harlem, NY caught up with Loud Genius to introduce himself to the rap game and discuss his inspiration for making music.
Majesty has opened up for very relevant artists such as K. Michelle and Rich Homie Quan and has recorded with Love Dollhouse, and many local Harlem artists. “Opening for them was a life changing experience. K. Michelle is my sister’s favorite artist, it was life changing being in the same building as her,” said Majesty.
During a brief interview Majesty revealed that he comes from a musical background where singing was one of his favorite things to do as a child. Although he switched gears to pursue a career in rap, he said once he put his mind to it, his career began to take off.
Growing up in Harlem, NY, Majesty said he gained musical inspiration from Fabolous and would welcome the opportunity to work with him. “I would definitely want to work with Fab. He’s somebody I look up to, real smooth, suave type of guy. I think we would make a good collaboration,” said Majesty.
It wouldn’t be a Loud Genius interview if we didn’t discuss comedy! Majesty told Loud Genius that he can always depend on Mike Epps for a laugh. “He’s hilarious. I’ve been watching him since I was young. He’s on a new show called ‘Survivor’s Remorse’, he’s funny on there too,” said Majesty.
