Sophomore Guard Andrew Jones from the University of Texas received devastating news that would rock his world, and the University of Texas basketball program…..Jones had Leukemia.
Jones told ESPN that he absolutely plans to join the University of Texas basketball team to play again at some point in time.
Eli Long, bestfriend of Jones relayed a message to the media indicating:
“I talked to his teammate and best friend Eli Long at the shoot-around today. Eli actually went to Houston and spent the night on a couch in his hospital room just to be with Andrew,” Wojciechowski said during the first half. “He said his spirits are great. He thanks everybody for all the public support. He FaceTimed with his Longhorn teammates on Sunday. And he absolutely plans to play again.”
Jones to be in great spirits which is truly an inspirational thing to see. Recently he took to social media to post a video of how he gets dressed in the morning and it’s nothing less then motivational!
