In a move directed toward Cleveland fans, their franchise player and even their arena, it seems the Golden State Warriors have reclaimed not only the NBA Championship title but also the award for King Petty, thanks to Draymond Green.
The Golden State Warriors clinched their 2nd championship in 3 years against the Cleveland Cavaliers in a Game 5 win at home in Oakland on Monday. Today as they celebrated aboard their parade float it seems as if a new rivalry is emerging, and that is the battle of Parade T-shirts. Green was spotted wearing a black shirt with the word “Quickie” written across it.
The shirt’s enlarged Q eerily resembles the Q in the logo for the Quicken Loan company who just so happens to own the Cleveland Cavaliers Arena. When later asked about the shirt the All Star laughed and replied “Well the Q, that’s what those guys arena is called, and we got em’ out of here quick, with the trophy… Quickie.”
Last year Lebron made headlines when he arrived off the plane wearing an Ultimate Warriors t-shirt after winning Game 7 and the NBA Championship of 2016 against Golden State. The trolling continued that Halloween with tombstone cookies that highlighted their losing season and the blowing of a 3-1 lead. It is something that Draymond said he’d been waiting to get Lebron back for since then. Even revealing that the t-shirts were made in Cleveland!

But before you think this rivalry is serious, know that it is all in jest with the 2 time champ making light of the joke and letting it be known that Lebron is “definitely my guy, [he’s] family.” Lebron even poked fun at himself reposting the picture on Instagram with the caption “That’s what she said, HUH?!?”
Who do you think won the battle for best parade t-shirt? Let us Know! One things for sure, as long as these two teams keep winning we can look forward to a long and funny rivalry. Check out Draymond’s full interview below!
