Sunday’s matinee matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks was another tough one for the Atlanta Hawks as they fell 117-106 at home for the second straight game.
The Bucks used speed, size, and length to extend the floor against the Hawks coming out of the gate early.
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 9 of the first 12 points for the Bucks before the Hawks were forced to burn a timeout early in the First Quarter.
The Greek Freak went on to finish with 33 points and 12 boards on the afternoon for the Bucks.
Atlanta put up a fight even thought they trailed most of the game. There were several plays on the afternoon that heard some ooh’s and ahh’s from the Hawks crowd.
Atlanta continued to scratch and claw their way back but unfortunately they had a hard time matching up with the Bucks length and size.
Hawks starting PG Dennis Schroder chipped in 21 points and dished out 8 assist respectively while his Taurean Prince finished with solid 17 points during yesterday’s contest.
But…I think it’s safe to say the night belong to Isaiah Taylor his shined bright, who continues to show a relentless effort to get better.
Although he didn’t fill up the stat sheet Taylor’s hustle and ‘not going back’ mentality seems to have earned himself a spot in the regular rotation mix….and we like it!
Rookie John Collins also had a pretty solid afternoon showing signs of improvement and he limited his fouls compared to Friday night showing against Denver.
Collins finished +9 having a career game for himself finishing with 14 points and 7 rebounds in 24 minutes of action yesterday.
The Hawks will have a couple of days off before they return to action on Wednesday, November 1st at 7:30pm ET against Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers.
