Wednesday night in Phillips Arena the Atlanta Hawks fell to the LA Clippers 116-103 which helped the Clippers snap their 9 game loosing streak.
For Atlanta, the Hawks would loose their third straight game at home.
Clippers big man Blake Griffin provided major contributions to his Clippers squad as chipped in with 25 points and 10 assist, as Wesley Johnson held down the 3 point line scoring 24 points respectively.
For the Hawks, Dennis Schoder had another solid performance finishing up with a team high 19 points and dishing out seven assist on the evening.
But…the night may have belonged to rookie John Collins who flashed star qualities in his first NBA career start finishing with a personal best 14 points and 10 rebounds in 37 minutes.
Collins received the go-ahead nod in front of an injured Luke Babbitt and Mike Muscala (who by the way has been sidelined with a ankle injury for the 9th straight game.
“I was a little excited,” said Collins postgame. “I just had to go out there and calm my nerves and go out there and play the way I usually play. I think I did a solid job of that, but I’d (like to) do a little bit better.”
