It’s a sad day in the sneaker world as news broke that Jordan Brand will be ending Carmelo Anthony’s signature Jordan sneaker.

Melo has been with the company since 2003 placing him amongst an elite group of athletes (Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Allen Iverson) who have over 14 signature line sneakers.

Melo ranks 5th in NBA signature sneaker history.

As Melo enters his 15th season in the NBA, 1st with the OKC Thunder, he will be rocking a combination of shoes from the brand this upcoming year, such as the Air Jordan XXXII, custom editions of retro models, and possibly even a remixed version of his very first signature model.

Despite renegotiating his contract with the Jordan brand in January, Melo will still be one of the athletes the brand focuses on along with fellow backcourt mate Russell Westbrook.
