The Atlanta Hawks came out the gate in the first half firing on all cylinders against the Boston Celtics as they look to put a halt to the luck of the Irish.
The Celtics currently hold the longest win streak record in the NBA right now and look to be getting better each game.
Unfortunately the Atlanta Hawks fell short in piecing together what would have been one of the most epic come-from-behind efforts in a while.
The Celtics went on to beat the Hawks 110-99 at home behind a solid performance from hometown favorite Jaylen Brown’s 27-point performance.
Atlanta jumped out to a quick start including a 16-0 run in the first half connecting on four consecutive three pointers. The Hawks flat out outscored the Celtics 35-20 in the first quarter, which included 11 points from Kent Bazemore.
But….Boston fought back which included a 15-3 run to start the 2nd Quarter bringing the Celtics deficit to four points.
Atlanta was lead in scoring by Dennis Schroder who finished with a team high 23 points and nine assist, coming up one short of a double-double. Rookie John Collins recorded 18 points and seven rebounds in 23 minutes of action coming off of the bench.
The Atlanta Hawks will travel to San Antonio on Sunday to face the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night.
