Jeezy’s ‘Thug Motivation 101’ Turns 12

Man how time flies! Twelve years ago today (July 26, 2005) Atlanta Rapper turned mogul Jeezy released his highly anticipated album ‘Thug Motivation 101’.

The album was released through his Independent Record Label CTE World which was distributed through Def Jam Records. The album supported 4 chart topping singles which included the likes of “And Then What” featuring Mannie Fresh, “Soul Survivor” featuring Akon, “Go Crazy” and “My Hood”.

TM 101 reached as high as #2 on the Billboard 200, selling 172,000 copies in the first week. A few months later September 29, 2005, the album was certified platinum by the RIAA.
