Story: Joi W.
It is a new month! Happy February! It is a Happy Genius Music Friday Geniuses. There were so many singles that dropped today and I actually liked very many. This week will be very versatile. Loud Geniuses, make sure you check out the picks below.

Singles to check out:

Iggy Azalea, Quavo
Rate: 9/10

Okkkkkkk Iggy! Quavo is trying to sing…… come throughhhhhhhhh Quavo!!! This is a good pop-type feel single. It had me moving this morning. I am glad to see Quavo move into a different genre of music because after ‘Culture II’, I was about to check out on the Migos. Check this out!

Get It
Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, Kelly Rowland
Rate: 8/10

I am not going to say too much about this collaboration except DO NOT sleep on the artist that paved the way for the new artist. This is a dope collaboration. Check it out!

Get Out
Rate: 8/10

I have never heard of this band. However, they are a talented Scottish synth-pop band from Glasgow. This single is pretty dope as well. It is definitely different from what I would normally listen to. Check it out!

Albums to check out:

Don’t You Ever Forget Me – EP
Rate: 5/10

This album only consist of seven songs. If you remember, Skooly was once a part of the group Rich Kidz. He has since drifted to being a single artist and I am in between with him. His beats are on point but his taste of music is not it anymore. He need to do hooks only. I barely made it through the seven songs. Check him out though!

Drip Season 3
Rate: 7/10

Gunna, Gunna, Gunna! I am a huge YSL fan! I love me some Young Thug!! However, Gunna, you have to switch up your style to make yourself different. Your sound is the same. Lil Uzi Vert, Thug, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty Lil Durk, NAV, and Metro Boomin saved you. I gave you two extra points because of them. I am huge fan of all of his features especially Uzi Vert. He is definitely despised by many, but his style makes him different and that is why I like him. He always add a different flavor to a song. Uzi is featured on the song ‘At the Hotel’, check it out! Check this album out though! It is definitely a real Down South feel-type album.

My Picks of the Week:

Florida Boy
Rick Ross, T-Pain, Kodak Black
Rate: 10/10

Perfect Florida collaboration! I am a huge fan of all three artists. This is a cool Winter/Spring single to ride to. Kodak Black, you are a young, talented artist!!! Stay out of trouble and continue to make good music! Rick Ross always had the flow! T-Pain always deliver on a hook! Check this out!

Dedication 6 Reloaded
Lil Wayne
Rate: 10/10
