Genius Friday: 3.16.18 Singles and Album Releases

Review: Joi W
Happy Genius Music Friday Geniuses. Last week we focused on singles, albums, and videos. This week, not too many albums or singles were dropped. Loud Geniuses, make sure you check out the picks below.

Single of the week (Last week):

What About Us
Trae Tha Truth

All that I can say is that this is a POWERFUL SONG. Trae Tha Truth was acknowledged in Houston with his own day because of his assistance with helping the city evacuate when they had the bad storms, rain, flooding, and hurricanes last year. The people of Houston love him for his dedication to his community. This song actually talks about what the people went through during those trying times. Thank God for Trae Tha Truth.

Single of the week (This week):

Racks Like This
K Camp ft. Moneybagg Yo

Considering that I first heard the record on the radio without Moneybagg, I liked it. Since I am a huge fan of Moneybagg, I really like this single. Check it out.

Singles to check out (Last week):

Don’t even trip
Tee Grizzley ft. Moneybagg Yo
Rate: 9/10

Nice collab! I am a fan of both. Both of these artists are on the move with their careers. Please check this single out.

Right or Wrong
NBA Youngboy ft. Future
Rate: 9/10

Although, I feel that this young man is lost in the world, it does not take away from his talent. This is an awesome collaboration. If NBA does not get himself together, he will lose everything. While he is hot, he need to stay out of trouble. Future actually delivered on this single. Check it out.

Albums to check out (Last week):

Rich As In Spirit
Rich Homie Quan
Rate: 9/10

Rich Homie Quan is trying to make a comeback. So much drama has surrounded his life and it was causing his rap game to decline. This album is better than the last few that he has put out. I was a huge fan of him when he came out initially. He is telling a story. I am digging this album! Check it out!

Albums to check out (This week):

The Leek Volume 5
Chief Keef
Rate: 8/10

Chief Keef just dropped Volume 4 a couple of weeks ago. I guess he does not want you all to forget about him. I like this one a little better than the last one. The beats are awesome. I am a huge fan of Drill music as I have said before. Check it out.
