Who Is: @IAmReggieSon
Loud Genius correspondent Nori sits down with the artist Reggie Son to talk transformation, growth, new music, his show experience, buying black and so much more.
Musical artists are constantly evolving and transforming how we view ourselves and the world. They do this by sharing their lives, being a open book and allowing their fans to experience life as they are living it. It is important to understand who an artist is…
It is one thing to listen to a song and catch the baseline and feel good. It is whole other experience to know why the lyrics resonate with your soul. @IAmReggieSon (Instagram) is building his fan base in the most authentic way, there are no gimmicks just pure artistry. You may think you don’t know who he is but you do. His former personality name is, Shorty Da Prince. The 29 year old lyricist, radio and TV personality hails from St. Louis and received national attention when he was a co-host on BET’s 106 & Park.
Once the show concluded he went back to radio full-time holding down night radio on WKYS in the DMV. After a few years he decided to take a hiatus from radio. It was shocking to the radio industry but what he needed. A daring move but he bet on himself. He took the time to grow! He moved to California, and perfected his sound, his vibe and his content. He no longer wanted to be called his moniker, Shorty Da Prince. He made the decision to be addressed by his name Jordan and as a artist Reggie Son, an ode to his pops!
He is first and foremost an artist! Our Loud Genius correspondent Nori got a chance to catch up with Jordan aka Reggie Son and they talk transformation, growth, new music, his show experience, buying black and so much more. check out the interview below.
